Interview with Model Ghazal Hosseinkhani

 Why did you want to become a fashion model?

"As a young girl in a country far away from high fashion, having a goal of being a model was kind of not possible. Since I was 7,  I wanted to be in the industry and I wanted to study something related to fashion such as photography. As I was growing up, and knowing more about fashion I felt thats what I wanted, even though I didn't know any history or basics of fashion. I always made a runway in my house and a fashion show for my family. In my area and country,  fashion and being model was not common, I wanted to do it and show everyone that anything is possible. I chose to be a model to be independent because I had no support, no based knowledge, or etc…"

How would you describe your fashion style?

"I love clothes and I want to try all styles as an model, but for my own style I would say casual and chic. Usually, in my day to day life I would wear something that I can feel I am so comfortable with, and some days I have my my own style which is combination of classic chic. I also like oversize and colorful pieces."

If you could give any advice to aspiring models what would it be?

"I would say as a model be yourself all the time and be able to show feelings in photoshoots. Coco Rocha, a super model and my mentor says, “models are actors without a voice”. 
I love this sentence, because as a model, if you have one straight or sexy face all the time in all your photoshoots your time will be done soon, but if you can represent feelings in your photos you are going to be so attractive and new all the time."

Who is your favorite designer? Photographer?

"There are many designers that I like, but of course Versace and also YSL are my favorites. Photographers all have different styles and creativity, but, Juergen Teller is one of my favorite photographers."

 What is your most inspirational photoshoot?

"Being weird and trying new poses or creative backgrounds are my favorite photoshoot style. I would love to experience and learn more."

What are your future aspirations as a fashion model?

"My future aspirations as a model  is of course reaching my goals, working with my favorite brands and designers, learn from super models, and being able to show the world if you really want something, fight for it."

 How do you feel about the fashion world becoming more sustainable and eco conscious?

"Well, fashion always changes, and most of the time its like a circle. I feel good about this, as long as it shows creativity in it. Fashion means to be open minded and creative; it makes the boring world exited."
